The events occurred around 12:30 am on Monday, when the local police officers of Calasparra received a call from one of the people who were in the damaged home, warning of the situation and asking for help, since it was impossible for them to leave the house because of the smoke and fire that was spreading at great speed.
The agents, who took a few minutes to reach the scene, located in the hamlet of Las Reposaderas, just 5 kilometers from the urban center of Calasparra, had to jump the fence to access the property and remove the metal grate from a of the windows to be able to rescue their owners, who had taken refuge, fleeing from the smoke and the flames, in one of the rooms of the house, since according to sources of the Department of Public Safety, it was impossible to access them through the door this.
The causes of the fire are being investigated, although everything indicates that the source may be in the fireplace.
The marriage was attended by smoke inhalation "in situ" by the displaced health services.
In the first instance, two local police officers from Calasparra went to the scene, to which they were added, later to the rescue, firefighters from the Caravaca de la Cruz park, Sanitary Services and Civil Guard.
