[The PSOE of Calasparra presents a motion on the vaccine scandal (25/01/2021)

From the Municipal Socialist Group of Calasparra we have registered a MOTION demanding that the Regional Government of López Miras publish the list of freely appointed public positions and representatives of regional institutions appointed by the president and the regional government, as well as any other public position at the regional level that has been vaccinated by skipping the protocols agreed upon in the Interterritorial Health Council. We demand that the Regional Government create an Investigation Commission in the Regional Parliament to clarify how decision-making has occurred in the chaotic vaccination process and clarify responsibilities. We have recently learned through the media that more than 400 officials of the Ministry of Health and the Murcian Health Service, among which is the Minister of Health and his management team, have been administered the vaccine against COVID-19 in breach of the protocol established by the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System. The Health Minister himself, who resigned from his position, acknowledged that this massive vaccination of officials and staff of the Regional Administration who are not in the front line of exposure to COVID-19 infections had been carried out.

It has become clear in an evident way that the regional government has skipped the vaccination protocol by proceeding to vaccinate senior officials and other officials and workers, while there were still personnel in hospitals and health centers that are on the front line of the fight against pandemic and in contact with sick people, who have not been vaccinated. From the Municipal Socialist Group of Calasparra we consider that these unfortunate known facts do not end with the resignation of the counselor in his position since it must be clarified who has made the decisions, who were aware of them and having responsibilities in this regard, have allowed it, thus like everyone who has benefited from 1 this serious breach.

It is regrettable that President López Miras has allowed, in the health situation in which the Region is at the moment, an irresponsible and opaque action, which leads us to the need to know if there are other political leaders of the Regional government who could have benefited from these breaches. From the point of view of the socialist municipal group, this type of unsupportive attitude cannot be allowed.

All public officials and representatives of the institutions must set an example, defending the common good above individual interests. This type of attitudes, intolerable and reprehensible, are very far from the values ??and principles that we socialists defend and that any public official must defend. For all the above, the Municipal Socialist Group of Calasparra raises the following AGREEMENTS to the plenary session in January for debate and subsequent approval, if applicable: 1.

Require the regional government to publish the list of freely appointed public offices and representatives of regional institutions appointed by the president and the regional government, as well as any other public office at the regional level that has been vaccinated by skipping the agreed protocols in the Interterritorial Health Council. 2.

Demand the Regional Government to create an Investigation Commission in the Regional Parliament to clarify how decision-making has occurred in the chaotic vaccination process and clarify responsibilities Antonio José Merino Moreno SOCIALIST GM SPEAKER FROM CALASPARRA function { ;(, , {});}
