The Department of Culture of the City of Calasparra, in order to promote and recover old traditions and popular characters, calls the III Contest of Tales "Juan Pelotero and the Innocents", according to the following bases:
1. All persons who wish to participate and who were born before December 31, 2007, may participate, provided that they present works in Spanish, original and unpublished, not published in any type of format neither totally nor partially (including Internet), not awarded or pending failure in other contests or waiting for an answer in an editorial process.
The theme will be related to Juan Pelotero and the Innocents.
The length of the stories should be between 800 and 2,000 words.
The originals of the works will be presented only in digital format.
The works must be sent to the electronic address: calasparracultura@gmail.com with the personal data of the author, email address and telephone number.
The Department of Culture reserves the right to publish the literary works sent by the participants, with prior authorization, without this implying economic retribution.
The prizes will be awarded in three categories: Primary, ESO and Baccalaureate and other participants.
The winners in the first two categories will receive a 10.1-inch tablet, HD screen, Quad Quore, camera with 5.0 MPX and 8 GB of internal memory.
The prize for the third category will be a digital book with 6-inch screen and 4 GB of storage.
The Primary Education center to which the winning story belongs (first category) will be awarded with a storytelling session.
6. The deadline for receipt of the works ends on December 11, 2017 at 10.00 p.m.
The decision of the jury will be made public on December 28 at La Corredera, where the three winning stories will be read.
Participation in the Contest implies full acceptance of these rules.
