The City Council of Calasparra has participated in the first day for the elaboration of the new Regional Plan for the Prevention of Drug Addiction (27/02/2018)

The City Council of Calasparra has participated this Friday in the first day for the elaboration of the new Regional Plan of Prevention of Drug Addiction, promoted by the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Northwest, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.

A day attended by the mayor of Social Services and Youth, Antonio José Merino, as well as two agents of the Local Police, including the Guardian Police, two Social Workers, as well as the Youth and Education technicians of the City of Calasparra.

The day, celebrated in Caravaca, has been especially directed to professionals of the Health and the Education, representatives of AMPAS, technicians of the organizations that work with people with problems of drug addiction, representatives of the bodies and security forces, and technicians of the councils of Youth, among others.

The objective of the same has been to update the knowledge on drug prevention, count on the contributions of those professionals involved and get the coordination of all actions that, on prevention of drug use, are developed in the Shire.

A first draft of the Regional Plan for the Prevention of Drug Addiction was published on this day, which will set out the priorities for action for the next four years.

During the day, a working group was formed with representation of all the agencies, services and entities involved in the prevention of drug addiction that will work on the drafting of said Plan.
