Calasparra Mayor has confirmed the presence of government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, and the president of the Cycling Federation of Murcia, José Tortosa, at the opening of the rail ecotourism, linking the urban area of the municipality, with the Sanctuary Our Lady of Hope.
Jose Tortosa, also could be accompanied by one of the most representative Murcia cyclists, as added the mayor of the town.
For the opening of the road, the council has planned a march rider for Sunday, July 18, departing at 9.30 pm from the Chapel of the Holy Martyrs and ending with a luncheon for participants in the Shrine of Our Lady of Hope, where two bicycles will be raffled among the culminating the tour.
The new lane runs along one of the most extraordinary in the region, since much of the route runs parallel to the river Segura and the rice fields and passes by the Muslim town of Villa Vieja, to end at the shrine of Our Lady of Hope.
It also has three seating areas, so that visitors can appreciate the beauty of these natural areas.
