Saturday Calasparra has taken place in the central act of the events commemorating the tenth anniversary of twinning with Riorges (France).
The delegations of French and Donzdorf municipality (Germany), a town twinned with Riorges present in Calasparra since last Thursday, attended the ceremony which took place at noon at the Municipal Auditorium, led by their respective mayors.
An act which has highlighted the ties that have grown during this decade that have brought the two peoples through friendship and good relations.
In the event the presidents have spoken both Twinning Committees of each locality, as the mayors of Riorges, Rolan Devis, Donzdorf, Martin Stölzle and Calasparra, Jesus Navarro.
In addition, the actions of the Association of Music Banda Calasparra and Danserye have contributed to the splendor of the commemorative event.
Prior to the ceremony, the delegations have visited Riorges Street, located near the new stadium.
The street has already been opened at the time by the Government Delegate in Murcia, as it is part of the proceedings of Plan E, 2009.
During the visit the Mayor of Riorges, Rolan Devis, has uncovered a commemorative plaque.
The events will last until Monday, May 2 at the conclusion of the visit of the committee.
