The Regional Assembly of Murcia approved yesterday by a large majority, the declaration of bullfighting as "Intangible Cultural Heritage" (28/02/2013)

In its argument, the Socialist deputy and mayor of Calasparra, Jesus Navarro, Calasparra recalled that pioneered the defense of the Bulls Festival, held in September 2010 in a plenary already asked the Autonomous Community's statement bulls as a Cultural (BIC), at the behest of Calasparra Bullfighting Club, and a year later, in September 2011, the House unanimously approved naming the Bullfight Rice Calasparra a Cultural Heritage.

The Assembly requested the Regional Government to urge the Government of the nation to require the declaration of bullfighting as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

For Jesus Navarro, "the bullfighting, meets all the requirements required Unesco".
