The Bishop of Guadix, Bishop Gins Garca Beltrn, accompanied by twenty priests of his diocese have Calasparra pilgrimage today, in the Jubilee Year of Hope, to celebrate the feast of San Juan de Avila, patron of the Spanish secular clergy.
They celebrated the Eucharist in the parish of St. Peter the Apostle, that during the month of May holds the image of Our Lady of Hope, arriving in a procession on 1 May.
This year the plenary indulgence to those on pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Hope and there engage in acts of worship and piety indicated shall be granted.
Also, "in perpetuum" Plenary Indulgence is granted to all who pilgrimage to the Marian shrine of Calasparra on 8 September each year and there participate in acts of worship and piety indicated above.
