The Guardia Civil of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the Local Police Calasparra, has developed the operation called 'GIRAFFE', which has led to the arrest of four people allegedly associated with the trafficking of narcotics.
The operation has also culminated in the dismantling of a point of retail drug sales in the town of Calasparra.
The proceedings began last March, when the Civil Guard became aware of the existence of an organized group dedicated to the distribution of cocaine and other narcotics in the region of Murcia Northwest, an activity that had caused some alarm among the population .
These suspicions led investigators to a home where, apparently, the band members gathered regularly and also numerous buyers came from neighboring towns.
The Civil Guard, in partnership with the Local Police Calasparra then identified the alleged members of the organization who adopted stringent security measures to avoid being located.
The result of the research was carried out the entry and search of two homes in the town, where they were seized 54 grams of cocaine, 17 pills for cutting, marijuana and various tools for handling and distribution of doses and more 3,000 euros in cash.
The four arrested, two men and two women, all Spanish and neighbors Calasparra, are attributed authorship of the alleged crime against public health for drug trafficking.
Those arrested, drugs seized and the proceedings have been brought before the Court of Instruction number two in Caravaca de la Cruz.
