On May 1, coinciding with the arrival in the town of Calasparra patron, the Virgen de la Esperanza, the council organizes the "FIESTA DE LAS FLORES."
This is a day dedicated to the exhibition and sale of flowers, plants and books during the morning in the Plaza of the slide.
The books, in particular, are all published by the City Council and will be sold at affordable prices in the municipal Stand.
In addition, I also announces the competition of floral arrangements, designed to reward the best floral decorations of streets, buildings and squares.
Citizens and informed participants can register until April 30 at the Office of Tourism.
The awards are:
1 GRAND PRIZE: 500 €
2 PRIZE: 300 €
3 PRIZE: 200 €
The cash prizes will be targeted but the ornamentation of these streets, buildings or places.
The winning entries will be at 13:00 pm at City Hall.

Also for the same day the City Council, in collaboration with the Retailers Association, organized the First Opportunity Fair and Flea "The Zaranda", which was suspended a few weeks ago because of rain.
The market stalls will be installed on May 1st Avenue during the morning.
