The mayor of the town, José Vélez Fernández, accompanied by the president of the Stewardship of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Hope Foundation, Fulgen Sánchez, have announced the broad festive program that begins this Thursday with the proclamation of festivities and will end next September 9.
The first Trimmers Contest (September 1) is the novelty of this year in which the Encierro por Vereda (September 9) is once again celebrated.
The XXIX edition of the Taurine Rice Fair, bullfighting, the night pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Hope, concerts, festivals and other activities make up one of the densest programs in the history of Calasparra.
The festive program includes this year a reusable bag with the slogan "Calasparra an experience to live it", a greeting from the mayor of the town, a handkerchief for the running of the bulls and a number for the draw to be held next Sunday during the Chupinazo de fiestas , at 12.00 in the Plaza de la Corredera.
The Consistory distributes 1,500 fair programs.
