The president of the Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS) has met for the first time with the mayor of Calasparra, José Vélez, to discuss matters of competence of the basin organization in the municipality.
Vélez has transmitted to him the situation of the irrigators of the locality, who were affected during almost a year by the cessation of the shipments of resources through the Tajo-Segura aqueduct due to the drought.
The mayor has proposed the possibility of receiving extraordinary resources through assignments of rights or extensions of previous authorizations.
The president of the CHS has undertaken to study these demands and to hold a meeting with the irrigators in Calasparra so that they can directly transmit their requests.
