Equality, visibility, equity and co-responsibility, or distribution of tasks;
reaching full conciliation to advance women in equal conditions, as well as equal opportunities with men, have been some of the slogans of the rally called last Friday at 12.00 in the Plaza de la Corredera by part of the council of Equality of the City council of Calasparra.
The feminist movement painted the streets of the country purple again to demand effective equality between women and men, and to denounce the cases of exclusion, precariousness, wage gap and violence suffered by half of the population.
The mayor of Equality, Mari Carmen López Alba, after participating in the morning live on the public radio station Radio Calasparra, addressed the first words to those who came to the call, including the mayor of the town, José Vélez Fernández.
Adriana Martínez Gomáriz, 10 years old, representing the future, this year was the one in charge of reading the manifesto, while the artist Loreto González has given voice to the demand with Rozalén songs, among other artists.
The suffragettes, those pioneering women who fought for one of the most resounding and shameful conquests in the history of women, the feminine vote, have distributed flowers and reading points, paying homage to women who suffered persecution for demanding justice.
The act, in the words of the mayor of Equality, has also been a tribute to the feminists who throughout history have achieved the rights and freedoms that we enjoy today.
