The "Inforeg" computer program developed by the Ministry of Justice for Civil Registries throughout Spain is the application through which judicial officials practice births, marriages, deaths, etc.
and also through this, the certifications on these registration facts are issued.
In the Court of Peace of Calasparra, due to a technical problem, this program stopped working almost two weeks ago, so they have not been able to practice the corresponding annotations, nor issue certifications, paralyzing the activity of the Civil Registry.
The City Council of Calasparra is responsible for the maintenance of the material means of the Court of Peace, and despite the multiple efforts that have been made by the head of the Court with the City Council, Telefónica and the Ministry, has not yet solved the problem .
Also, the Ministry of Justice has not been in charge of finding solutions either.
The public service provided in the Civil Registry is fundamental, and has been paralyzed, causing delays in registration of birth, death and marriages, with the consequent damage to citizens, who can not obtain documentation for, for example, register a newborn in the Social Security, and provoking, in turn, complaints from neighbors who come to this Court.
From CCOO we urge the City of Calasparra and the Ministry of Justice to repair the technical problem urgently and can restore service as soon as possible.
