The activity organized by ANSE and the Life + Ripisilvanatura project, with the collaboration of the Department of Environment of the City Council of Calasparra, has had about 15 volunteers who have collected waste on the kilometer on Wednesday that, approximately, separates the bridge from the "Cuesta Blanca" of the "Iron Bridge", on the banks of the Argos River.
"What we have collected most have been glass bottles. It is unfortunate how some citizens make use of public and natural spaces," said Nerea Martínez, an environmental scientist at ANSE.
The Councilor for the Environment, Juan Bernal, has called for greater awareness and involvement of society.
"Every little gesture counts," he said.
The call was also attended by the councilors of Youth, Juan José López, Comunicación, Cristina Ruiz and Public Safety, Antonio José Merino.
