Last Saturday took place the first National Band Contest Villa de Pinoso Memorial "Andrés Vidal".
The town's mayor, Pepe Vélez, and the mayor of culture, Teresa García, traveled to Pinoso.
Also friends and family who wanted to clothe the Calasparra Music Band Association, also on this occasion.
Prior to the event, music flooded the streets of Pinoso to go to the Clock Tower, where the reception, by the local authorities, of the mayors and the respective presidents and presidents of the musical formations, as well as their respective band directors.
The contest began with the performance of the Societat Unió Artística Musical d'Ontinyent, in Valencia, which won the second prize under the baton of Ramon García i Soler.
The second musical group to participate was The Musical Society "La Harmonónica" of Cox, Alicante, which was directed by Gonzalo Berná Pic, ended up becoming the winner of the contest.
The last band to perform was the Calasparra Music Band Association, with its director Julián Andreu Jiménez.
The host band Sociedad Unión Lirica Pinosense also performed, although out of competition.
After seeing and listening to all the participating bands, the mayor, Pepe Vélez, has shown his satisfaction in checking the category and the high level that the Calasparra Music Band Association showed, which could perfectly have been the winner of the event.
