The director of Energy and Industrial and Mining Activity, Esther Marín, visited this morning the facilities of the thermosolar plants Puerto Errado 1 and Puerto Errado 2, located in Calasparra and that, according to indicated they are "world reference in thermosolar technology".
Marín noted that "these facilities generate clean energy of greater potential than conventional technology, through a hot oil circuit, helping the progress of the municipality and the region, generating employment."
In addition, the director general assured that the existence of these solar thermal facilities "put the Region in the forefront of this technology worldwide, serving not only to prove that it is feasible and profitable, but as an ideal platform for research and development ".
With an annual production of 46,000 megawatts at both plants, they represent 1.6 percent of the renewable energy generated in the Region and 0.87 percent of the total of all technologies.
