The Department of Environment of the City of Calasparra has presented today the basis of a photo contest to mark the Second Environment Week to be held from May 31 to June 5 next.
In the presentation, which took place today in the consistory, was Ricardo García, mayor of Environment, and José María Pérez Buendía, president of AFOCAL, association of amateur photography in the town.
As explained by Ricardo, the contest tries to value the natural, environmental and landscape resources of the municipality, promoting its care and protection.
The photographs, which must be made in the municipality of Calasparra in the last year, will opt for a first prize of 300 euros, a second of 150 euros and a third of 75 euros, plus a plaque, and will be displayed in the gardens of the House of Culture on May 31.
The bases of the photo contest will be published on Monday, April 23, the opening day of the call.
The contest is part of the activities of the II Environment Week organized by the City of Calasparra, which will include various proposals to promote awareness and care for nature, promoting good environmental habits for sustainable development.
