The regional government has approved a proposal from the Ministry of the Presidency and government, the decree approving the arms of the town of Calasparra.

The current coat of arms dates from 1962, and by this Decree, drawn from the reports of the Royal Academies Alfonso X the Wise of Murcia and History, has been adapted to the existing rules of heraldry.
