The Segura basin (CHS) and the City of Calasparra are studying a project to increase recreational use, cultural and sporting the reservoir Alfonso XIII, with capacity for 22 hectometres.
Calasparreño Mayor, Jesus Navarro, has proposed to the president of the CHS, Charo Quesada, the transfer for environmental and sporting a house in the reservoir, and the granting of permits to operate with the same objective.
Although the initiative of mayor should be studied by the technical services of the Confederacy, one of the principles of the CHS is to contribute to the rivers and water infrastructure in the basin can be developed, responsibly and safely, by all citizens.
Navarro Quesada made this proposal during the last meeting they had in the headquarters of the CHS, which also addressed other issues of competence of the basin in the municipality, as the project to adapt a river beach and comprehensive restoration Argos river.
