The main placeta the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Hope Calasparra was occupied by thousands of pilgrims and devotees from 8 pm to enjoy the night more fervent and emotional year in the holy place.
The night pilgrimage to the Shrine Our Lady of Hope (7 to 8 September) has become a must for the faithful of Our Lady of Hope, arriving from all corners of the region, and the town of Calasparra, which revived for a few hours a tradition that dates back to time immemorial and is still living with devotion and customs.
The pilgrims, most cars now, continue to come prepared to share a meal by the river with family and friends, and spend the night with the Patron.
Regional dances and crews share the night with contemporary music festival "A River of Music" which this year will feature performances of "Emergency Exit" and "Rhythm Traffickers."
The most emotional event of the pilgrimage has returned to the torchlight procession, where the lights of thousands of candles light the path of the Virgen de la Esperanza.
Today, great day of the Patron, various events take place in the sanctuary.
A special concert of the Association Band and Mass in the chapel complete the program.
