The Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport, through the Directorate General for Transport and Highways, subsidize the City of Calasparra for implementing repair works and improvement of the firm of crossings C-3314 (origin and final Calasparra variant) and MU-510 (North Calasparra and its variant).
The total amount of the performance will be EUR 800,964, of which the Autonomous Community will contribute EUR 450,000, as approved this summer by the Governing Council, and the remaining amount, 350,954 euros, the City of Calasparra.
The section of the C-3314, which includes the beginning and end of Calasparra variant of this road meets specific circumstances for its exceptional situation at the heart of this population and as a gateway to the MU-552 road, which runs through the field Cagitán to Mula, who is also a major tourist area (dam of Alfonso XIII Quipar River) and agricultural.
These factors make this stretch of road is under heavy pressure for urban development in the town of Calasparra and therefore subject to heavy traffic of both vehicles and pedestrians.
In turn, the stretch of road MU-510, which includes the origin at the center of the town of Calasparra and northern variant, is also of particular importance to the inhabitants of the municipality, which gives access to a major tourist area as is the swamp Cenajo.
Thus, the proposed action, as well as improving access to the dam will allow better access to the Sanctuary of Hope, which this year celebrates its jubilee year.
These sections have been sold to the City of Calasparra, after which this agreement has been signed for the implementation of repairs and improvement firm Calasparra Cruises road C-3314 and MP-510.
The projects include performances of painted road markings and curbs, islands and railings.
